The resin lining is a lining made of cotton or polyester cotton blended or linen base cloth material and resin finishing. There are many kinds of resin linings, some soft, some hard, some fine and smooth, some sparse and rough. Some of the glue on the reverse side can be ironed on the cloth, while others have no glue and are sewn on the cloth.
The hard liners sold in the colorful store include relatively hard liners A and soft liners B, both of which are resin liners.
Various resin linings are used for different purposes. The soft ones are used on the collar, sleeves, placket of shirts, or neckties. Slightly harder ones can be used as stand collar lining, soft skirt waist or trouser waist lining, or pocket cover lining. The harder ones can be used as the waist lining of men's trousers, the lining of suit towel bag, and the harder ones can be used as bags or hats.
The soft resin lining usually has glue, which can be ironed directly. The hard resin lining is basically sewn or inserted inside without sewing or burning, like a hard lining between the surface and the inner layer of a bag or hat.
The shrinkage of resin lining is relatively small due to resin finishing. However, for the sake of safety, when making clothes by yourself, it's better to put the lining into the water first, so as not to wrinkle the fabric when it is ironed and wet.
